Right outside Surprise, Arizona, Sun City Grand is a unique retirement community perfect for retirees who want to spend their time in warm weather among like-minded, friendly people. It is a large community with residents all over the age of 45 and most over 55. Phoenix is only two dozen miles away. Surprise is one of the fastest-growing municipalities in the Phoenix area, and a large reason for this is migration to Sun City Grand.

There are a multitude of things to do for residents of Sun City Grand. Golfers can putt at the four golf courses in the community, featuring driving ranges and putting greens in addition to the courses. There are two full-sized fitness centers in the area. Sun City Grand is known for having pickleball courts, but also offers opportunities tennis and bocce ball. There is a pretty fishing lake, a great excuse to get out and enjoy the sun. One can go to Surprise Stadium, in the city, to watch spring training for both the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers. Surprise also fills day-to-day needs for Sun City Grand residents.
